Opened in March at the Museu Tàpies, the retrospective *De Intactu* —dedicated to the multidisciplinary Catalan artist Àngel Jové— presents works inspired by his favorite writers and poets, including J. V. Foix. The presentation of the exhibition catalogue will take place on September 17.

This August, Quim Domene‘s illustrations for the poems in J. V. Foix‘s book On he deixat les claus… are on display in Port de la Selva. The book is bilingual in Catalan and French, translated by Boris Monneau.

In August, “L’Instant i les deixes del somni. Foix per ell mateix” —a dramatized reading about J. V. Foix— will be presented in El Port de la Selva, the poet’s summer retreat for over sixty years. The performance features actors Manel Barceló and Rosa Renom, accompanied by pianist Jordi Masó, who will play pieces by Frederic Mompou, a contemporary of Foix.

The sea serves as the backdrop for much of J. V. Foix‘s poetry. Edited by Lluís Quintana and Montse Ginesta—with illustrations by Montse Ginesta—this book gathers a selection of texts ranging from metaphysical and transcendent poetry to poems and prose pieces reflecting on summer life in El Port de la Selva.

On July 10th, the exhibition Vuit by Frederic Amat, curated by Valentín Roma, opens.
Vuit shows the importance that a large number of poets, writers and playwrights have had in Amat’s work. Conceived specifically for La Virreina with Chantal Maillard, Amat talks with J. V. Foix, Octavio Paz and Guillermo Cabrera Infante, among others.

On Friday, June 26, Jordi Madern Mas, president of the J. V. Foix Foundation, died. Thanks to his generosity and his commitment to the culture and language of the country, in 1991 he created the Foundation with the aim of preserving, conserving and disseminating the legacy of the poet J. V. Foix, of whom he was a great devotee.
J. V. Foix and the Sarrià of His Time

On June 18 and 19, coinciding with the IQS Alumni Day celebration, Margarida Trias gave a presentation on the relationship between J. V. Foix and Sarrià—the place of his birth—highlighting the intense intellectual, political, and artistic activity he engaged in throughout the 20th century.
Among other topics, she highlighted the twenty issues of the Sarrià-based magazine *La Cònsola*, published between 1919 and 1920.
On June 13, David Guzmán spoke about the poetic work of J. V. Foix with the professor and critic Lluís Quintana, who has just published the essay Per entendre Foix, from the Fragmenta Editorial, a study that starts from Les irreals omegues to analyze the what and how of his poetry. Jordi Puntí and Xènia Dyakonova were also there.

Today, June 10th, Mira la mar, Marcel·la!, a selection of poems in verse and prose by J. V. Foix, edited by Montse Ginesta and Lluís Quintana Trias, accompanied by illustrations by Montse Ginesta, arrives in bookstores.
Published by Publicacions de l’Abadia de Montserrat, the book has as a backdrop the sea and the coast of Cap de Creus, the beaches, the coves, the sailors and the friends who shared summer holidays and walks on foot and by boat with the poet.
On June 3, Juliette Lafourcade, Abril Fernández and Damià Campàs, UPF Journalism students, came to the Foundation to record an informative report on the figure of J. V. Foix as the final activity of the course Theory and Techniques of Audiovisual Journalism.
