From October the 6th, the retrospective exhibition about Joan Ponç, curated by Pilar Parcerisas, presents the work and the figure of this painter, who was a friend of J. V. Foix‘s and made two artist books with him.

On December the 12th 1933, J. V. Foix published an article entitled «La llibertat de triar el propi destí» [The freedom of choosing one’s own destiny] in La Publicitat newspaper. The article finishes by saying, «Only the choice by everyone of one’s own destiny, and the choice, by everybody, of the destiny of the Community, will contribute to the elevation of the Country to the highest categories.»

On the night of August the 24th, as part of the Grand Tour –a guided walk open to everybody and shared by artists and writers– organised by Nau Côclea, after having gone down the Coll de Jou towards Solsona, the participants stopped at the Torrents where Moixic and Núria Terri recited some of the poems by J. V. Foix that are linked to the land of origin of J. V. Foix’s lineage.

On June the 7th, the 13 pupils that won the Jocs Florals poetry comptetition held in the Poeta Foix School on the Saint George’s Day came to visit the accompanied by Màrius Pla, the School Director, and by the teacher Susanna Parra.

On Thursday June the 15th, and as a part of the Palau i Fabre Year and the 30th aniversary of J. V. Foix’s death, in an event organized by MUHBA, the Fundació J. V. Foix and the Fundació Palau, Pere Gimferrer and Vicenç Altaió will devote the act entitled «J. V. Foix i Josep Palau i Fabre, elective similarities» to approach the friendly and professional relationship between these two great Catalan poets.

On Tuesday June the 6th and as part of the poetry seminar «Poetes en temps de penúria» («Poets in Times of Scarcity»), organized by Antonio Alegre at the Laie bookshop, Jordi Cornudella will devote his session to the poet J. V. Foix.
