World Poetry Day

World Poetry Day was adopted as 21 March by UNESCO in 1999. It is an invitation to reflect on the power of language and the full development of each person’s creative abilities. It also supports linguistic diversity through poetic expression and offers endangered languages the opportunity to be heard within their communities. The poetry is able to capture the creative spirit of the human mind. The Fundació J. V. Foix celebrates it by publishing a poem of J. V. Foix in the web.

Captava, delirant, abismes d’aigua

Days: from 24th March to 14th June

Foix’s articles are hot news

Here you have two of the numerous political articles written by Foix. They are no doubt of great interest, but often, unfortunately, so relevant to our present situation as if they were written yesterday.

«El catalanisme essencial», La Publicitat, 28-V-1936

«Estimar Catalunya», La Publicitat, 11-I-1935

In the 2nd volume of the series «Geografia Literària», Llorenç Soldevila shows us the physiognomy, the history and the monuments of the Lleida regions of High Pyrenees and the Aran through the eyes of our great authors.
The verse and prose texts of J. V. Foix have an important role in this book.
