In the book Miró i els poetes catalans Vicenç Altaió explores the collaboration between the painter and nine Catalan poets, including J. V. Foix. In addition to analyzing the shared work between Miró and the different authors, Altaió focuses on the human relationship they maintained. At the end of 2021, five years after the publication of the book in large format, Univers Art publishes a paperback edition.

Published in L’Amic de les Arts in 1947, the imprint reads 1936. A trick to avoid censorship or were the poems written «in 1913, 1916, 1918-1923 and in 1927»?

This 2021 the Fundació J. V. Foix in collaboration with Edicions 62 publishes the book Allò que no diu La Vanguardia by J. V. Foix, which appeared in 1970 and includes the same three parts of the first edition plus a supplement that contains seventeen «Telegrames» and three «Desviacions», and three «Fets diversos» collected for the first time.
This book demonstrates the singular approximation of journalism and poetry that characterizes an important part of J. V. Foix‘s work.

This year Ibercamera wants to dedicate the Christmas concert to J. V. Foix with the Hungarian Radio Orchestra who will perform The Creation, by Hadyn, conducted by János Kovács, master of the classical repertoire and with Choir Madrigal, directed by Pere-Lluís Biosca and Mireia Barrera as preparing director.
Joan Manuel Serrat will recite «És quan dormo que hi veig clar», by J. V. Foix.

«Surrealismo en zapatillas»

Arielli SerpaThis is the title of the letter that J. V. Foix sent the editor of Destino in which he complained about an article appeared in the previous issue of the magazine due to the journalist’s vision of his relationship with surrealism.

In the September issue of the journal Quimera, Professor Laureano Bonet publishes the article «J. V. Foix y la descomposición del realismo: un texto olvidado», in which Foix’s letter is reproduced.

In 1933 J. V. Foix participated, in Dubrovnik, in the International Congress of the PEN Club, chaired by H. G. Wells, and voted against a collective motion of no confidence in the anti-cultural activity of the Hitler government.
From June 2 to 18 of that same year, he published some “Notes de viatge” in La Publicitat.

1923-1926, terrassa de la fonda ComerçThis summer in Port de la Selva they celebrate the 50th anniversary of the tribute that was dedicated to Sagarra in 1971, ten years after his death.
In 1929 Sagarra published the novel All i salobre, with a foreword by J. V. Foix, and in 1933 he premiered the play El cafè de la Marina, the name of a café in Port de la Selva.

In June, Assirio & Alvim published Resistir ao tempo, an anthology that aims to make Catalan poetry known to Portuguese readers.

In a bilingual Catalan-Portuguese edition, the volume brings together 87 Catalan authors, among whom is J. V. Foix with three poems: «Sol, i de dol», «És quan dormo que hi veig clar» i «Anava sola i dreta dalt l’autobús».
