At the Rectoria Vella in Sant Celoni this year it is organized a tribute to J. V. Foix with an exhibition of the Christmas cards. In addition, Gloria Auleda, Narcís Clopés, Narcís Comadira, Rob Dubois, Judit Gil, Marduix, Vicenç Mascarell, Xavi Plana Stefano Puddu and Núria Rossell will participate in the event.

Inauguration: Saturday, November 9 at 7 p.m.
Place: Rectoria Vella de Sant Celoni
Open exhibition: from November the 9th to January the 11th.

Narcís Bonet’s family has decided to cancel the tribute to the Catalan composer

The event is postponed on Friday, November 8th at 8.30 pm in the Sala Llevant de la Biblioteca de Catalunya.

The Catalan Library will pay tribute to the Catalan composer Narcís Bonet, in which the music and reading of the correspondence will be combined with J. V. Foix, Carles Riba and Salvador Espriu.
Anna Bonet and Eulàlia Domènech will read the correspondence, Hélène Giraudier de Bonet, soprano, Francesc Guzmán, violin and Pau Casan, piano.

Day and time: Thursday, October 7, at 8:30 p.m.
Place: Llevant room of the Biblioteca de Catalunya (Calle del Hospital, 56 – Barcelona)

Daybook 1918: Early Fragments is the first substantial selection in English from the prose poetry poems of the Catalan writer J. V. Foix . Translated and edited by Lawrence Venuti, it is made up of forty-five poems in prose and verse, prose fictions, and essays that immerse the reader in the cultural world of the twentieth-century Catalonia.

This book is the Winner of the Global Humanities Translation Prize and is published by Northwestern University Press.

Arnau Puig, Brossa and J. V. Foix

With the title «Joan Brossa, qüestions sobre codi lingüístic» Arnau Puig pays homage to Joan Brossa. In the same article in the digital magazine issue number Lecrop, he reproduces two poems by J. V. Foix: «Feliç el just que sap oficis nous» i «El difícil encontre».

One year more, on June 12, the winners of the Jocs Florals celebrated on Sant Jordi’s day at the Poeta Foix school visited the Fundació accompanied by the new director, Cristina Valiente, and the teacher Estrella.

Those who still did not have it, were given a T-shirt stamped with the J. V. Foix poem dedicated to Joana Givanel

Thursday, June 27, on Channel 33, premiere of the “Inèdits” program, with an interview to J. V. Foix on the occasion of the awarding of the National Spanish Literature Prize, in 1984. Foix was 92 years old. This interview had never been broadcast in its entirety.

«La guspira que ve d’un estrella»: that is how Foix defined poetic inspiration.

The philosopher and art critic Arnau Puig, founder of the group «Dau al Set», leaves his archives to the Bonart magazine in Girona due to the lack of response from Catalan institutions, among which is the National Arxiu, the MNAC and the MACBA.

On Saturday the 8th June, in the gardens of Castel Bardera, in Galliners, the 6th poetry meeting took place, this time dedicated to the poet Joan Brossa on the occasion of the centenary of his birth.

All the participants recited a poem of their own and one by Joan Brossa. There was also occasion to listen to music and singing.

The Fundació J. V. Foix contributed to the tribute with the reading of two poems by J. V. Foix.
