El 14 de maig, a la Biblioteca Mercè Rodoreda de Barcelona i dins la Setmana de Poesia es va retre homenatge al crític i editor Jaume Vallcorba. Van participar-hi Rafael Argullol, Juan Antonio Masoliver Ródenas, Francesc Parcerisas, Lola Badia i Ponç Pons. Moderava Manel Ollé. Entre molts altres, Vallcorba va editar l’obra completa de J. V. Foix.

In the book entitled La porta d’entrada al Cap de Creus, art historian Mariona Seguranyes asserts the influence of the northern coast of Cap de Creus on the core of various artists’ work. Port de la Selva is believed to be the place where, under the leadership of J. V. Foix, the revival of the avant-garde with the artists’ group Dau al Set took place.
 
Joan Ponç picture evokes a boat trip of the artists of Dau al Set and J. V. Foix, from el Port de la Selva to Cadaqués, to visit Salvador Dalí.

As every year, the Sant Jordi day, the Poeta Foix school celebrated the «Jocs Florals». Among others, it was awarded the Extraordinary Prize of Poetry J. V. Foix, that won Alvaro Díaz Díez with the poem entitled «L’univers».

Projecte TRACES

World Poetry Day was adopted as 21 March by UNESCO in 1999. It is an invitation to reflect on the power of language and the full development of each person’s creative abilities. It also supports linguistic diversity through poetic expression and offers endangered languages the opportunity to be heard within their communities. The poetry is able to capture the creative spirit of the human mind. The Fundació J. V. Foix celebrates it by publishing a poem of J. V. Foix in the web.

Captava, delirant, abismes d’aigua

El 24 de març s’inaugura al Castell de Cornellà l’exposició «Amb perles a cada mà, visc al cor d’una petxina», que reuneix peces de Ricard Vaccaro -pintures i escultures- fetes al llarg dels últims tres anys, al costat d’algunes de més antigues.
Els versos del poeta J. V. Foix donen títol a l’exposició que es podrà visitar, gratuïtament, des del 24 de març fins al 14 de juny a la sala d’exposicions del Castell de Cornellà. Cinquanta personatges del món de la cultura, la política i la societat catalana reten homenatge a l’artista.

In the January 5th issue of the newspaper Ara, Jordi Nopca does an “unpublished” interview to J. V. Foix following the book Amb mots de ben copsar , which has just been published by the Fundació J. V. Foix.

The twelfth volume of the collection includes sixteen interviews given by the poet between 1973 and 1987.
